The Power Of Sacrifice3: The Heart Condition
Mark 7:20-23
The state of the heart of the Offeror of a sacrifice, is far more important than the object of sacrifice.
God cares about the condition of the heart of someone who is offering something unto Him, He does not judge the way man judges, for He looks at the heart of man as opposed to the outward look of a person. David being anointed by Samuel in the bible, is a perfect example of this. The prophet Samuel assumed (due to the physique and general appearance of Eliab), David’s brother, Samuel believed that He was fit to be king but, God chose differently. He was concerned with heart of the next king of Israel, not his physical prowess
Be mindful to check your heart, being a believer is not just about coming to church! We have to ensure that our heart condition, as far as God is concerned, yields acceptable sacrifices.
What is the right heart condition?
A right heart condition is a forgiving heart
A right heart condition is not a hypocritical one
A right heart condition is not a vengeful
A right heart condition is a believing heart, not a doubting heart
A right heart condition is not a wicked one

Until there is proper alignment between the lips that offer praise(sacrifice) and the heart behind the lips, there cannot be a proper release of the blessings that God has in store for us. The story of Abraham–his hospitality to the three travelers while he was believing God for the gift of a child, is a good example of God testing to see the true nature of the heart, so as to determine whether we are ready for the blessings He has in store for us.
