The Power of Sacrifice 1: Understanding Sacrifice
As children of God, we cannot see ourselves as ordinary, for we don not serve an ordinary God, for HE that is in us is greater than he that is in the world. You are an ambassador of Christ and must live your life as such, be distinct, showing what the kingdom of God is about.
1 Peter 2: 5-6
To be a conqueror, to have a life that is influential, you must live triumphantly.
What is sacrifice? A sacrifice means an offering to a deity or something that is most loved.
1 Kings 3: 3-13
As a child of God, it is important to give your offering to the Lord as you awake for the new day. Put on the full armor of God. Do not allow yourself to be naked in front the enemy, pray unto the Lord and commit the day, week, month and the year unto the lord and see yourself triumphant in the face of life and its obstacles. There are those who are lost in the world and as such, seek covering through offering sacrifices unto the forces of darkness. Such people, in their own understanding, have armed themselves for the battles of life, whether it be a promotion, business venture or even looking for the fruit of the womb. We must not allow the forces of darkness to prevail over us, the children of God. We must arm ourselves by giving an acceptable sacrifice unto the Lord. How do we give an acceptable offering? We must come to the alter of God with honesty in our hearts.
Do not be deceived brethren, the manner of sacrifice in the old testament is no longer valid. Jesus came to die for any who would believe in Him and in doing so, He changed the old ways of sacrifice. All you have to do is put your trust in the blood that Jesus, that was shed on the Cross of Calvary. He gave His blood as a sacrifice for redemption, it speaks for all things that we may encounter here on earth. You do not need to kill anything in a bush somewhere, Jesus has offered Himself, so you don’t have to.
