Arise In Victory
Sermon Text: 2 Kings 7:3-9
God has not planned defeat for you. When you accept that God has not planned defeat for you then your rising is sure because you will not accept defeat or surrender to the command of the enemy. Our challengea is the inability to transform what God has said into behavior. You can never be defeated until you surrender.
Man have been in situations where we say to ourselves I have tried and it is not working and then give up.. You ae defeated because you gave up. The enemy will come to you and remind you of what happened last time and discourage you. But if you know and accept that God has not planned defeat for you you will tell that voice get thee behind me satan. Ask yourself what have you given up on. What has your past revealed that is robbing you of the future. If you are stuck in history you lose sight of victory.
This is the reason people are stuck in the same phase of life. People who believe they can’t be defeated are the people that will rise. Anytime you hold on to the word of God watch out because that word will be challenged. And the word of God has been tried and it standeth sure. What will your attitude be because you are challenged? Are you going to submit to the enemy? What will be the attitude to the attacks of the enemy? When God speaks to you and says you are going to see enlargement and you are yet to see anything and you are beginning to stand? What is your input? Have you fought a good fight with the word. Are you standing on the word? Are you willing to stand upon the word on the face of contrary situations and circumstance? The people with this attitude are the ones who will rise.
If you are going to rise you will have to risk some things. Anytime you surrender you cannot rise. It is important to have the right attitude to whatever you are facing. Is your attitude one of defeat or surrender? With God all things are possible.
You do well to preach to yourself. Sometimes you need to sit yourself down and confront yourself that yes I have been defeated in the past but now am rising above challenges.
The lepers refused to put into account their history. They sat themselves down and preached to themselves. They said why sit we here until we die. Why should I surrender to the suggestion of the enemy. Why should I remain in the same place. They spoke to themselves and challenged themselves. You must tell yourself I refuse to be defeated. Why sit we here until we die?
What militates against Christians rising?
- Fear of the unknown
- Fear of losing your own way. Our own way leads to death and chastisement. Sometimes we must be careful not to confuse chastisement resulting from choosing our own way to trial of our faith. The trial of your faith is different from chastisement. Trial of your faith requires patient while chastisement requires repentance.
- Fear of History…I don’t want what happened to one person to happen to me. Gal.6:9
Isaiah 40: 31-32
Which is your reality? Is your negative history your reality or the victory.
- Be strong and courageous. Don’t run away at the slightest trial. To rise in life you need courage.
- Get rid of sin in your life. Sin will stop you from rising in every way financially materially and in every way. Sin is a weight. It makes you too heavy to take the flight. Prophecies over your life will not happen until you get rid of the sin in your life. If you are going to rise you have to untie yourself from it. You know the areas where you are compromising.
