Texts: 2Kings 2:1-15; Acts 19:13-20
The only way you will not remain the same is by having an encounter with the Lord. Hearing the Word of God should bring forth testimonies in our lives; God’s Word cannot be spoken and something will not happen. It’s not enough to simply hear God’s Word and not long for the experience of God’s Word. It’s important for us to equally have the experiential knowledge of God’s Word.
The people viewing things that are not happening in your life yet, will at the end be your supporters.
It is important for believers to understand the concept of authority as opposed to the concept of power. In 2Kings 2, we see that authority was given by Elijah to Elisha and when Elisha acted by the authority given unto him, power was released. When power is released those that were viewing from a distance will honor you. (v15)
For the believer, it should not be difficult to see and live in the experience of our inheritance; a inheritance that is readily available.
To be able to live in the experience of our inheritance, we must ask ourselves the very important question: “Whose voice are you listening to?” If it is not the Voice of God, it will end in disappointment because only God’s voice will not lead you astray. It is God’s voice that will make you spiritually mature to be able to demonstrate power in your life. [see Hebrews 5:13-14]
It takes power to actually live in the experience of our inheritance in God and power cannot be demonstrated by babies but by those who are spiritually mature in their faith.
It is time to silence the arrogance of the wicked in our lives; what we know about God is what will silence the arrogance of the wicked
See Acts 19:13-20; It is not every believer that can intimidate the wicked; only believers whose lives recognize and believe the authority in the name of Jesus and whose lives demonstrate the power of God can intimidate the wicked and silence their arrogance.
It is God’s desire for every one of His children to silence the arrogance of the wicked in our lives, as well as in our lands because He has given us Authority. By virtue of having received the power in Jesus name, we can deploy power to silence the enemy’s arrogance.
Wherever God places you, He places you there especially for the revelation of Himself. And God grace is sufficient to sustain you wherever He has placed you for the glory of His name. You must recognize who you are and know your value before God! For if you do not, it would be impossible to demonstrate the power of God in your life.
Be confident in the authority God has given to you in Christ and boldly utilize the power to silence the arrogance of the wicked any area of your life.
